Riser
A riser handlebar is similar to a flat bar, except the bar rises up from the central clamp area.

Flat

Cruiser
A cruiser handlebar is similar to a riser bar, except they have a large amount of backsweep which promotes a more upright and relaxed riding position.
Common on: urban and cruiser bikes.
