Previous / Next Model Navigation
Select to navigate to the previous model alphabetically for the associated brand. Similarly, select to navigate to the next model. The button is disabled if there is no previous or next model for the brand.
Find Similar E-bikes
Find Similar E-bikes uses the current model's attributes to construct a Search for models with similar attributes.
If the current model does not have much information available for it the resulting search could contain hundreds of "similar" models. You can edit the resulting search to better fit your preferences.
On the other hand, if the current model has values for many attributes, the result search could result in only the model you started with. In this case you can relax or remove some of the search criteria that are not significant to you, such as the battery voltage or whether there is a taillight.
A specific frame size must be selected to use Find Similar E-bikes. If there are multiple frame size and "All Sizes" is select, the Find Similar E-bikes button is disabled. Please select a specific size.
Add to / Remove from Comparison
"Add to Comparison" adds the bike model to the comparison. If already added, "Remove from Comparison" removes the model from the comparison.
Go to the Compare page (Compare in the menu bar) to view the comparison of selected models.
You can also add models to the comparison on the Search and Compare pages.
Show Summary / Show Detail
Model information can be view in one or two modes: Summary or Detail.
The Summary view combines related values on a single line and does not show (missing) or (not applicable) values. The summary view displays information for either a single selected size or "All Sizes" if selected.
The Detail view displays information for each attribute individually and includes the value for each frame size.
The current display mode is highlighted. Select the other button to show the other mode.

Our bike model listings reflect information gathered from the manufacturer's website and sometimes other sources. If the listing is missing information, it may not have been made available by the manufacturer. Some manufacturers provide very little information while other provide detailed specifications.
Most of the information described below can be used in our bike search capability to find bikes that match your requirements.
Price
Of all the attributes we track, the price is the most volatile and you should assume that this price may be stale. We will update the price if we become aware of a price change, but temporary sales are not reflected in the price.
The price is for the base model and does not include extra cost options or upgrades. The price is provided as a reference only. We do not sell bikes and the price is not an offer to sell the bike at this price.
If the manufacturer quotes prices in a currency other than US dollars, the price is converted to US dollars at an exchange rate that is updated infrequently.
Source
A link to the manufacturer's webpage that describes the specific bike model. This is typically the primary source for the bike's listing on this site.
Frame sizes
Some manufactures offer several frame sizes for a bike model to accommodate different sized riders. The frame sizes will be listed here. If there is only one size, it is usually listed as "One size". Multiple size may be identified as "t-shirt" sizes (such as small, medium, large) or may have other designations.
If there is more than one frame size, you will be able to select "All Sizes" to view consolidated information about all of the frame sizes, or you can select a specific frame size to view the information for just that size.
All of the attributes below can vary by frame size but in practice few do. Some bikes have a smaller tire for the small size frame and a larger for the larger sizes. The bike geometries, such as recommended rider height, recommended rider inseam, and standover height usually vary by frame size. Where the values vary by frame size, multiple values will be provided with an indication of the corresponding frame size(s).
Motor / Second motor
Several motor attributes are tracked, if available, including the make and model of the motor, the motor location (rear hub, mid-drive, or front hub), the nominal power, peak power, and torque.
Some bike have two motors and in this case a "Second motor" attribute will appear to provide information about the second motor.
Battery / Second battery
We track the battery voltage and power in watt hours. The battery power is an important specification and influences how far you can travel on a charge.
Some bike have two batteries and in this case a "Second battery" attribute will appear to provide information about the second motor.
Pedal assist
If a bike has pedal assist (all of our listed e-bikes do), we can track the number of pedal assist levels, maximum supported speed under pedal assist and an estimate of the minimum and maximum range under pedal assist. Mileage estimates need to make assumptions about the pedal assist level, rider's weight, terrain, and speed. Check the bikes webpage to see what assumptions were made.
Throttle
If a bike has a throttle, we can track the maximum supported speed under throttle and an estimate of the minimum and maximum range under throttle only. Mileage estimates need to make assumptions about the rider's weight, terrain, and speed. Check the bikes webpage to see what assumptions were made.
Frame
Three attributes are tracked: frame material (aluminum allow, carbon fiber, steel, titanium, or composite), frame style (high-step, mid-step, or low-step), and whether the frame is foldable.
Suspension
We track whether the bike has front and/or rear suspension.
Drivetrain
There are two drivetrain attributes that we track: gearing (such as 1 x 7) and drive type (chain or belt). Most but not all e-bikes have a single gear at the crank (pedals) and often between 3 and 12 gears at the rear wheel.
Brakes
We record the type of brakes: disc or rim brakes. For disc brakes, where possible we further indicate if they are hydraulic or mechanical disc brakes. Most often the brake type for the front and rear wheels are the same, but if they are different this is the type of the front brake.
Tires
The diameter and width of the tires in inches. Most often the size of the front and rear tires are the same, but if they are different this is the size of the front tire.
Accessories
We currently record six accessory types: headlight, taillight, fenders (mudflaps), kickstand and front and rear racks. If we have the information, we indicate if they are included or not included.
Recommended rider height
Some bike brands recommend the range of rider heights that are appropriate for a bike or frame size. This is guidance is helpful, but choosing a bike that fits you can involve several other factors, such as you inseam length.
Recommended rider inseam
Some bike brands recommend the range of rider inseam measurements that are appropriate for a bike or frame size.
Standover height
The standover height for a bike is the measurement from the ground to the top of the top tube. This measurement is important for two reasons: (1) it should be a couple of inches less than your inseam measurement so that you can comfortably stand over the bike when you are stopped, and (2) it determines if you can comfortably "step-thru" the frame when mounting or dismounting the bike or if you have to swing your leg over the back of the bike.
Detail View
The detail view displays information for each of the supported bike listing attributes. The attributes are organized by category and sub-category.
More information about each of the attributes can be found here.
